Daisy de Plume

Hailing from NY’s West Village, I have lived between London and Paris since 2004. As the daughter of an art historian, the Metropolitan Museum of Art was my second home as a kid. To keep me focused – and quiet! – my mother created games with art, some of which had monetary incentives (a cultural bribery I’ve laid on thick with my boys, Balthazar and Storsh).

Blending such aesthetical hoverings with entrepreneurial reward planted the seed for me to start my first museum venture au Louvre in 2012. Exiting after 10 years of collecting awards for 50+ hunts across 5 museums, I now have my eyes set on creating engaging, community- building treasure hunts in London's iconic museums.

My aim remains the same as my mother’s: to make you want to return to the museum after your treasure hunt!

Braced with a degree in art history and a journalist's eye for a hook, (I started my career in-house editorial at Vanity Fair), Culture Quests are popular for:

  • Corporate Team Building

  • Family Travel (family of 4? Two teams of 1 parent & 1 kid)

  • Anniversaries, Birthday, Hen Hunts

  • Schools wishing to make history come alive

Ed Coke

Ed has always been a quiz master at heart, combining his competitiveness, love of knowledge and commitment to embarrassing himself publicly.

A stalwart of company events, school fundraisers and even hosting quizzes for minor European royalty, he brings humour, inclusion and a relaxed atmosphere to ensure a fun time for all participants.

Daisy and Ed met at the inception of CultureQuiz: “Arrive”, a multinational transport company whose execs (12 people, 7 countries) couldn’t make it during museum hours, asked Daisy to create a Pub Quiz team- building event.

After hosting that first quiz — with Ed’s generous guidance (“rounds, what are rounds?!”, she asked) — Daisy invited him to join forces. Ed, who runs a strategical comms firm after decades at AmEx, didn’t need persuading: give him a mic, and he’s a fabulous showman!

They’re now bringing CultureQuiz to the public — from corporate events to birthday parties, and of course including curious international travellers keen to experience this most mysterious English pastime with a pint!

Public CultureQuizzes meet the 3rd Sunday of each month, at 4:30 pm.
